The Yellow Book Mark III is another first year violin tutor. BUT:
this tutor book is A5 landscape. This means it fits in the violin case - without folding
the width of the page is still the same as A4 portrait (most tutor books) so the lines of music aren’t annoyingly short (or small print!)
this book was actually created for group tuition. The first edition was in 1979, the result of a year teaching a class of infants. As such, it is ideally suited to Wider Opportunities use
it has had thirty years of analysis, revision and addition based on the experience of using it constantly with all age groups
the authors also have more than thirty years professional playing experience which has informed their musical and educational judgment
the later material is designed to stretch the gifted; many pupils will find enough material and challenges to use the book over 2 years
it addresses many of the day to day requirements of teaching not catered for in most violin tutors:
